Jordan records 3,362 new COVID-19 cases, positivity rate stands at 9.38%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,362 new COVID-19 cases and 13 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 12,945 and the total number of cases to 1,091,691.اضافة اعلان


The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 2,047 cases, while Zarqa recorded 327 cases. Irbid registered 311 cases, Balqa 268 cases, Karak recorded 44 cases, Jerash recorded 63 cases, and Tafileh recorded 6 cases. Madaba registered 54 cases, Aqaba 47 , Ramtha 27, and Ajloun 37.

The ministry said in a statement that 91 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 90 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 23,987 according to the ministry. Out of 35,853 COVID-19 tests conducted thursday, 9.38 percent of them came back positive.
