Jordan records 4,770 new COVID-19 cases, 26 deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,770 new COVID-19 cases and 26 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 11,687 and the total number of cases to 968,425.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,739 cases, while Zarqa recorded 512 cases. Irbid registered 917 cases, Balqa 357 cases, Karak recorded 137cases, Jerash recorded 212 cases, and Tafileh recorded 46 cases. Madaba registered 175 cases, Aqaba 82, Ramtha 158, and Ajloun 100.

The ministry said in a statement that 158 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 191 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 59,010 according to the ministry. Out of 49,421 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday 9.65 percent of them came back positive.
