Jordan records 704 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Saturday reached 35, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 704 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 8,871 and the caseload to 712,077.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Saturday’s tally, the ministry said:

261 in Amman
175 in Irbid
48 in Zarqa
45 in Mafraq
44 in Ma'an
40 in Balqa
25 in Jerash
23 in Madaba
17 in Tafilah
12 in Aqaba
8 in Ajloun
6 in Karak

The ministry added in a statement that some 141 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 166 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 18,196, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 7.43 percent of the 9,742 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
