In a
statement on Sunday, Ziyoud stated that homeowners receive workers only after
they undergo a medical examination at the Ministry of Health to confirm their
fitness. He emphasized that if the Ministry of Health's report proves the
worker is unfit, the recruitment agency must send them back, and relevant
authorities will issue necessary decisions, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
He clarified
that medical examinations conducted in the worker's home country are
preliminary and not relied upon for issuing work permits for domestic workers
in Jordan.
