Safadi praised Belgium while chairing the EU in putting pressure to stop the Israeli war in Gaza, delivering aid across the Gaza Strip and calling for the -two-state solution to realise peace and security.

Safadi warned of the ongoing war on Gaza and Israel's unilateral measures that "undermine chances for peace" by expanding settlement activities in the occupied West Bank, confiscating Palestinian-owned lands and allowing "settler terrorism."

He warned that Israel's actions could lead to a spillover in Lebanon.

He urged the international community to stop the Israeli "massacres" against Palestinians in Gaza, the latest of which were the Nusairat refugee camp and Khan Younis.

Lahbib said her country is working to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and realise the two-state solution, noting Brussels' commitment to strengthen its ties with Jordan.
