AMMAN — Jordan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 3.2
percent in the second quarter of 2021, compared to the same period last year,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

In a quarterly statistical report released Sunday, the Department of Statistics
(DoS) said that the increase was driven by broad growth seen across various
sectors of the economy.
It indicated that the construction sector expanded by 5.7 percent in the
reporting period, followed by the extractive industries at 5.4 percent, the
transportation, storage and communications sector grew by 4.3 percent, the
manufacturing sector by 3.9 percent, wholesale and retail trade and the
hospitality sectors by 3.8 percent.
