AMMAN — A total of 26,318 job seekers have entered
into employment contracts through the
National Employment Program (Tashgeel),
in collaboration with 1,077 private sector establishments.

According to
the latest statistics, the
National Aid Fund (NAF) has provided support to
1,969 individuals, comprising 884 women and 1,085 men, the Jordan News Agency,
Petra reported. The data reveals that the
highest employment rates were
observed in the education sector at 40 percent, followed by the industrial
sector at 35 percent, and the
tourism sector at 28 percent.
Conversely,
the
lowest employment rates were documented in the mining and quarrying sector
at 2 percent, activities involving foreign organizations and bodies at 1
percent, and the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning at a
mere 0.03 percent.
The Program’s
overarching goal is to create 60,000 job opportunities in the private sector
for
Jordanian citizens aged between 18 and 40. Each participating worker
receives a 6-month salary of JD130, with an additional JD10 allocated for
social security subscription, along with an extra JD10 as a transportation
allowance, bringing the total to JD150.
