In a statement on Saturday, Al-Rawajbeh noted that the Crown Prince's attention to the sector provides a strong incentive for companies, boosting their confidence to continue achieving success and expanding locally, as well as exporting services to international markets. This will contribute to attracting new investments and companies to operate in the kingdom, providing more job opportunities.

His Royal Highness recently visited the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, where he was briefed on its future programs and projects. During his visit, Crown Prince Hussein chaired a meeting on the "National Data Program," part of the National Council for Future Technologies. He emphasized the importance of linking and unifying government databases, as well as developing institutional culture towards the use and management of data. He stressed the need for accuracy in data recording to enhance the quality of e-government services and simplify citizens' access to these services.

Crown Prince Hussein also reviewed the "Youth, Technology, and Jobs" project, aimed at enhancing the digital skills of youth, expanding digital economy applications, and supporting the digital transformation of government services. He also explored work streams in the Digital Transformation and Empowerment Department, which include digital infrastructure, data management, government digital services, the "SAND" platform, digital identity, cybersecurity, and cross-government data exchange.

Al-Rawajbeh pointed out that the Crown Prince’s remarks regarding the National Data Program are an important call to improve data usage across government institutions and develop the necessary organizational culture to manage this data effectively. He also noted that unifying databases will improve data accuracy and streamline government procedures, which will enhance the e-services provided to citizens and facilitate their access to government digital services by improving data quality and organization.

Al-Rawajbeh emphasized that adopting this strategy will help create an integrated digital environment that allows government sectors to provide high-quality services that meet citizens’ needs efficiently. He also highlighted the importance of developing the digital infrastructure that supports this transformation, stressing the crucial role of the ICT sector in providing appropriate technical solutions and developing systems that support this process.

He stated that Jordan relies heavily on the IT sector, which continues to grow annually, providing more job opportunities for youth and supporting the national economy through the transition to a digital economy and improving services for citizens. This aligns with the goals set out in the Economic Modernization Vision.

The Economic Modernization Vision has set ambitious targets for the ICT sector, including increasing sector revenues to 3.9 billion dinars by 2033, creating 101,000 jobs, and raising exports to 4.5 billion dinars.

Al-Rawajbeh noted that there are currently 1,000 IT companies in Jordan, exporting many of their software services to various Arab and foreign countries, in addition to providing specialized competencies and expertise. He pointed out that the sector is rich in promising opportunities, given Jordan's infrastructure, resources, and trained human capital, which have contributed to the development of technology systems in many Arab countries.

He further noted that the National Council for Future Technologies reflects the royal vision to transform Jordan into a leading country in technology and digitization, which will contribute to building a prosperous digital society and economy and promoting innovation, particularly in light of the global competition in modern technology fields.
