The
statistics were released by the
Department of Statistics, which also reported a
rise in Jordan's imports from EU countries by 13.3 percent, amounting to JD246
million compared to JD217 million in January 2022.
Strong
trade volumeAccording
to the data,
the volume of trade exchange between Jordan and EU countries increased to about JD268 million in January 2023, a rise from JD230 million in
January 2022. These figures
highlight the strong economic ties between the Kingdom and the EU.
However,
the data also showed that Jordan's trade balance deficit with the EU countries
stood at JD224 million in January 2023 compared to JD204 million during the
same month in the previous year.
