AMMAN - An official source at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation said that the World Bank Group has affirmed that Jordan has a sufficient reserve of grains and is a food-secure country, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

He told Petra that based on a report issued by the group on the impact of the Russian-
Ukrainian crisis on food security in the MENA region, Jordan was listed as country that is not exposed to a food security crisis, noting that the strategic reserve of grains in the Kingdom is sufficient.
The report said that Jordan's production of grains stood at 100,000 metric tonnes annually, which considered within the normal range according to the group's classification.
