AMMAN — Experts in the
video game industry have praised the
Jordan Gaming Lab's role in educating young people about the importance of the
sector, highlighting the industry's resilience in the face of various
challenges.

Despite employee turnover and a l
ack of skilled personnel, the industry has continued to grow in recent years, pointing to its potential
for even further expansion in the future, according to the Jordan News Agency,
Petra.
PriorityThe
Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has
recognized the potential of the video game industry, making it a top priority
in the 2023
Economic Modernization Vision's executive program. The ministry is
conducting a study of the most effective global practices in the video game
industry, with the findings scheduled for release in April.
Additionally, the ministry is collaborating with the Jordan
Olympic Committee to develop regulations for the sector.
Fostering young talentRama Rawwash,
Media and Communications Manager at the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, highlighted the Jordan Gaming Lab's vital
role in educating children as young as nine about the video game industry.
The lab provides modern facilities, training courses, and
workshops to young people while linking them with local and international
companies.
In addition to supporting the
Jordan Gaming Lab, experts
have suggested the need for developing university curricula and attracting
investment to further boost the industry's growth.
Passing legislation could also provide a more favorable
business environment for video game companies in Jordan.
