AMMAN — According to Arabia Weather, the Kingdom will
be in a state of atmospheric instability starting from Sunday night.

The center is monitoring significant changes in the
weather conditions and sharp fluctuations. This is due to the activity of the
Red Sea low-pressure system extending noticeably towards Jordan, simultaneous
with the influx of a cold air mass from Europe towards the region, Al-Mamlaka
TV reported.
The latest outputs from the computerized weather maps
and modeling at Arabia Weather center indicate the approaching of a cold air
mass towards the region Sunday. This coincides with the expansion of the
so-called "Red Sea low-pressure system" from the south. It is
expected that a state of atmospheric instability will arise above Jordan
resulting from the collision of cold air coming from Europe with warm and humid
air coming from the south, accompanied by the extension of the Red Sea low-pressure
system.
A clear rise in temperatures will occur on Sunday
during the day due to the influx of a warm air mass towards Jordan caused by
the movement of a relatively cold upper trough towards Egyptian territories.
Therefore, the weather on Sunday will be warm in various regions and hot in the
Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
However, starting from Sunday evening and night, a
state of atmospheric instability will arise from the southern regions, with
random rain showers falling in scattered areas, especially in the southern,
eastern, and southern desert regions. The winds will be moderate southeast,
occasionally becoming active and causing dust in the desert and eastern plains
areas.
The impact on Jordan will increase on Monday with the
extension of the Red Sea low-pressure system and random thunderstorm showers in
some areas.
As for Monday during the day, the impact on Jordan
gradually increases with a state of atmospheric instability. There will be a
clear drop in temperatures, clouds will gradually increase, and random rain
showers will fall in different areas of the kingdom, especially in the
afternoon and evening, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in
the southern and eastern regions. The winds will be moderate southwest,
becoming active during the day and accompanied by strong gusts in the desert
and desert roads areas, leading to the formation of dust waves and reduced
horizontal visibility.
Due to the continued influx of a cold air mass towards
the kingdom, it is expected that a deep low-pressure system will form over
Syrian territories accompanied by a cold air mass. Therefore, on Monday night,
a cold and highly active air front will pass over Jordan, turning the weather
stormy and generally cloudy with heavy rain showers at times accompanied by
thunder in some areas. Consequently, occasional flash floods are expected in
some areas.
Jordan will continue to be affected on Tuesday by the
cold air mass accompanying the deep low-pressure system centered over Syrian
territories. There will be a noticeable drop in temperatures, and the weather
will be cold, cloudy, and variably rainy in different areas. The winds will be
strong to severe southwesterly to westerly during the day, accompanied by
sandstorms in the desert areas and all desert roads and border crossings.
