AMMAN — On Tuesday,
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan announced that Jordan has reached an
agreement with Japan to provide a
$100 million loan aimed at supporting the state treasury, which will be disbursed this year.

According to Al-Mamlaka TV,
Touqan stated that the negotiation phase for the loan has ended and that an agreement has
been reached to provide the loan, which is part of Japan's commitments at the
London Initiative conference in 2019.
Other projectsThe minister added this loan is available
for use immediately for 2023 and said that there were also discussions with the
Japanese side to execute a number of economic and other development projects in
the health, education, training, and information technology sectors.
