AMMAN — As of August 6, an official source from the
General Customs Department has reported that the number of foreign vehicles in Jordan has
reached 47,859. The source also revealed that during June, a total of 109,328
vehicles entered the country, while July saw a slightly reduced count of
98,670.

Continuing into August, the trend of
foreign vehicle influx remains noticeable, with 17,995 vehicles having entered within
the initial 6 days, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
Ali Al-Majali, Head of the
Foreign Cars Department at the Jordan Customs Department, previously mentioned the
department's efforts to streamline the entry process for foreign vehicles
through
electronic entry licenses.
Majali further explained that this digital
transformation has been implemented across all data related to foreign vehicles
upon their entry into Jordan. He noted that in the previous year, the Kingdom
observed a substantial inflow of 567,432 vehicles through its land crossings.
