Jordan sends ‘letter of protest’ to Israel over Al-Aqsa violations

AMMAN  — Jordan on Monday sent an official letter of protest to Israel, in which it demanded an end to its violations and acts of provocation at Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Al-Haram Al-Sharif.اضافة اعلان

The letter cited Israel’s move to secure extremists access into the holy compound under police escort as the last 10 days of Ramadan, the most revered part of the month, are observed.

Amman demanded the occupation authorities to “respect the historical and legal status quo, and the jurisdiction of the Jordan-run Al-Aqsa Affairs Administration in Jerusalem, Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates spokesman, said in a statement.

He also called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to pressure Israel to stop the ongoing violations against Al-Aqsa.
