The Jordanian minister of Higher Education, Wajih
Owais, and the Libyan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Imran
Muhammad Abdul Nabi Al-Qeeb, signed the agreement.
The executive program aims to strengthen the existing
Jordanian-Libyan cooperation in various scientific fields, including sending
exchanged students to conduct research at varying scientific levels, including
Bachelors, Master, and Ph.D., according to a statement from the Education
Ministry.
The statement added that the program would also facilitate
all the necessary requirements for the students enrolled in both countries'
universities.
Under the program, an ad hoc joint committee in higher
education and scientific research would be established to regulate
Jordanian-Libyan cooperation in the chosen educational fields and set clear
priorities, the statement noted.
Noting the joint keenness to exchange faculty expertise
and visits in higher education institutions, the program would launch
cooperation to exchange scientific and academic production in the two
countries, the statement concluded.
