AMMAN — In a dialogue session held at the
Jordanian Economic Forum (JEF), Minister of Interior Mazen Al-Faraya revealed that Jordan will now
recognize visas issued by the US and the Schengen Area as valid entry permits
for nationalities that previously required prior approval to enter the Kingdom.

Furthermore, Faraya announced the issuance of visas valid
for five years, according to Khaberni.
The ministry has undertaken several initiatives to boost the
Jordanian economy and attract investments. Notably, the introduction of an
electronic visa system has significantly simplified and expedited the entry
process, resulting in an increased influx of individuals and investments into
the country, Faraya said.
Digital transformation for streamlined processes:
Digital transformation has played a vital role in the
ministry's efforts to enhance administrative processes and facilitate business
operations.
Faraya emphasized the use of digital means to facilitate
permits for investors and their families, reducing bureaucratic hurdles and
promoting ease of doing business.
Additionally, tourism companies were empowered to facilitate
month-long tourism experiences within
Jordan for Syrian refugees residing in
Europe, America, and Canada, resulting in an impressive influx of over 45,000
tourists to the Kingdom.
