AMMAN — Minister
of Transport Wajih Azaizeh, on Sunday, announced that Jordan has decided to stop flights coming from
India, and the flights of people who have been in India in the last 14 days
before arriving to Jordan.

In televised
statements, he added that the new measures to prevent the transmission of the
new Indian strain of COVID-19 to Jordanian citizens.
The minister said
that the decision came in light of the developments in the epidemiological
situation in India, and the presence of reports of a new
COVID-19 mutation.
These developments require additional precautionary measures, with the aim of
maintaining the stability of the epidemiological situation in the
Kingdom.
