AMMAN — The 8th edition of the
Arab Media Forum is
set to take place in Amman next Saturday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra
reported.

The forum, organized by the Arab League's media and
communication sector in partnership with the Jordanian Ministry of Government
Communication and the Arab Organization for Satellite Broadcasting, will focus
on several key topics including sustainable development, media literacy, and
information education, and the dangers of video games.
In addition to hosting a variety of meetings on
media-related topics relevant to the region, the four-day forum will also
feature a workshop on Jordan's experience in media and information education.
Ahmed Khattabi, assistant secretary-general of the Arab
League, stated that the forum's program will provide a platform to discuss the
challenges and opportunities facing the
Arab media industry today.
The forum will also include the 18th meeting of the Arab
Electronic Media Committee.
Mohammad Adaileh, president of the Arab Organization for
Satellite Broadcasting, said that the decision to host the forum in Jordan is a
recognition of the country's efforts in boosting Arab joint work in the media.
