Jordan welcomes Australia’s ‘Occupied Palestinian Territories’ stance

AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has welcomed the announcement by Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong regarding her country's intention to revert to using the term "Occupied Palestinian Territories." Ambassador Sinan Majali, the spokesperson for the ministry, expressed gratitude for Australia's stance, which aligns with international law and the pursuit of a two-state solution, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported. This solution aims to achieve a just and lasting peace by establishing an independent Palestinian state along the pre-June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
