AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen.
Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday met with Canadian Chief of the Defense Staff and an
accompanying delegation as part of efforts to enhance joint military
cooperation and a series of meetings organized by the Armed Forces with
representatives from various countries. , according to the Jordan News Agency,

"Jordanian-Canadian ties are a model to be followed in joint action to
address various challenges," Huneiti said, noting that military
cooperation with Canada is ongoing through leveraging mutual expertise and
capabilities in operational, training, and technical fields.
The army chief stressed the Jordan Armed Forces' commitment to developing and
maintaining relations with Canada "to serve the common interests of the
armed forces of the two countries."
For his part, the Canadian Chief of the Defense Staff underlined the depth of
relations and cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries,
lauding the role of Jordan and its armed forces in consolidating regional
security and stability.
