Raida Al-Zu’bi is a renowned specialist in Gender Equality and Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE). Holding an M.A. in Sociology from the United States with Magna Cum Laude honors, she brings over 20 years of progressive experience from leading international development organizations. Her impressive career includes notable contributions at the Gender Unit of Sussex University's Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Harvard University's School of Public Health, and UN Women.

Her journey in Women’s Economic Empowerment was profoundly influenced by her attendance at the 2007 Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford University's Saïd Business School. This event ignited her dedication to supporting aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly young Arab women who face some of the highest unemployment and lowest business ownership rates globally. Raida has since committed herself to empowering these women through the successful start-up and scaling of MSMEs, Social, or Eco enterprises.

Raida has played pivotal roles, including Director of Partnerships at Junior Achievement/INJAZ, enhancing student entrepreneurship education, and Director of Operations at DIFC's Executive Education Center, supporting business and finance professionals in the MENA region. As Interim Director at the Business and Professional Women's Association (BPWA), she restructured the organization to focus on young female MSME owners in high-growth sectors. This pivot marked her transition from full-time employment to independent consulting, collaborating with public, private, and non-profit organizations worldwide.

Currently, Raida is focused on leveraging technology to create fair, decent, and socially protected work opportunities for young Arab women. Through e-lancing, flexible remote work, and social platforms e-commerce, she aims to catalyze empowerment and economic participation for this underserved demographic.
