AMMAN — An official military source in the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that
the Jordanian Eastern Command thwarted two attempts to smuggle large quantities
of narcotic drugs on its front.

According to the source, the military applied its rules of
engagement, where one person was arrested, several were injured, and others
fled to Syria. After an extensive search, authorities found and seized 362,600 Captagon pills, hashish, a firearm, a storage area containing 30
rounds for the same weapon, and a night vision device.
The source stressed that the Jordanian Armed Forces would
deal forcibly with any infiltration or smuggling attempt, vowing to protect the
Kingdom’s borders.
