According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, committee member Reem Abu Hassan attended the workshop, where MP Mayada Al-Shreim, chairperson of the forum, stressed the importance of women's active role in various fields.
Shreim indicated that women's participation is considered a key pillar in modernization and reform. This requires a comprehensive vision to address all the economic, political, social, and cultural challenges.
Shreim added that since we're entering the second centenary, we must recall the significant achievements during the first centenary to highlight the gaps and work on avoiding them in the future.
She shared that the next stage requires us to exert our efforts to allow women to participate in society efficiently to enable them to become decision-makers.
For her part, Abu Hassan contended that the women empowerment committee's recommendations reflected the political tendency to prepare the legislative and political environment to guarantee the women's role in public life.
She also pointed out that the recommendations have set a vision to tackle the challenges women counter in public life and only on the legislative side.
