According to a statement from the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, the technical glitch causing some parachutes to fail to deploy, resulting in aid freely falling to the ground during the airdrop on Gaza on Friday, did not stem from a Jordanian aircraft, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

The statement clarified that the four Jordanian aircraft, operating in conjunction with five other countries, executed the drop operation without any issues.

It stressed that Jordan remains committed to supporting its Palestinian brethren in Gaza and delivering aid through all available means, whether by land or air.

Mahmoud Besal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, reported that five individuals were killed and several others injured "as a result of mistakenly dropped civilian aircraft carrying aid onto the heads and homes of citizens in the northwest of Gaza city this afternoon (Friday)."

Israeli Channel 12 reported the "killing" of five individuals in Gaza due to aid parcels mistakenly dropped by American aircraft, while the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" stated that five people were "killed" when the US dropped humanitarian aid packages in the Towers of Firouz area, west of Gaza City.
