Jordanian car license plate put up for sale at JD800,000

AMMAN — A Jordanian car license plate has been put up for sale at the staggering price of JD800,000 (over $1.1 million), Al-Ghad Daily reported.اضافة اعلان

The sale price was posted on a Facebook page that specializes in selling unique license plates for vehicles. An image of the plate, bearing the number 10 – X, was published on the page, with a request for those interested in purchasing it to contact the page owners.

World recordLast week, a license plate bearing the number 7 was sold at auction in Dubai for 55 million dirhams (nearly $15 million), making it the world's most expensive plate.

The license plate beat out the previous record by about $800,000.
