Amman – National exports to the United States have continued to grow since the beginning of 2024 until the end of November, reaching 2.044 billion dinars, compared to 1.779 billion dinars during the same period in 2023, marking an increase of 14.9%.

According to data tracked by the Jordan News Agency (Petra) based on foreign trade statistics released by the Department of Statistics, the value of Jordan's imports from the US for the same period amounted to around 1.134 billion dinars, compared to 1.083 billion dinars in 2023, representing an increase of 4.7%.
Based on the statistical data, Jordan's trade balance with the United States during the same period showed a surplus of 910 million dinars.
Consequently, the total trade exchange between the two countries by the end of November 2024 reached 3.178 billion dinars, compared to 2.862 billion dinars during the same period in 2023.
Jordanian exports to the US are mainly concentrated in clothing and its accessories, jewelry, fertilizers, pharmaceutical preparations, information technology services, food products, live animals, and engineering industries.
On the other hand, Jordan's imports from the US consist of metal products, transportation equipment, machinery and electrical devices, grains, chemical products, medical devices, food industry products, wood pulp, animal products, furniture, iron products, used clothing, vegetable oils and fats, wood and wood products.
It is worth noting that the Free Trade Agreement between Jordan and the United States was signed in October 2000 and fully entered into force in January 2010. This agreement has boosted bilateral trade by approximately 800%.
