Jordanian gets the first World Cup visa

AMMAN — The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai said that the first renewable tourist visa for the World Cup “Haya”, which enables World Cup Qatar fans to enter and stay in UAE for a period of up to 90, was granted to Jordanian Mohammad Jalal, who was also the first visitor, according to Khaberni.اضافة اعلان

It said a large number of visas is expected to be issued within the next few days.

The Emirati media said that this visa is given as part of UAE’s support for Qatar, which hosts the 2022 World Cup, and that it enables visitors to enter and exit the country several times for the duration of its validity.

Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai Maj. Gen Mohammed Al Marri said the directorate completed its preparation for the forthcoming start of FIFA World Cup, and that it offers visitors unprecedented quality services in order to make them enjoy a unique tourism experience.

He said that data and estimates indicate that Qatar may receive 1.4 million visitors from various countries of the world to attend the World Cup, which will last from November 21 to December 18, and therefore the directorate has increased the pace of work, in addition to ensuring that 100 percent of those coming to the country obtain entry permits before their arrival, knowing that delegations and the public will go to Doha and return to Dubai on the same day repeatedly.
