Jordanian lawmakers pass draft laws to Lower House committees

AMMAN — On Sunday, lawmakers passed a number of draft laws to the Lower House's committees after a debate chaired by Speaker Ahmed Safadi, which was attended by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh and cabinet ministers.اضافة اعلان

The legislature referred to the Economy and Investment Committee bill on public-private partnership projects for the year 2023 and an amendment to the property ownership law, as well as an amendment to the Traffic Law and a draft on formation of Sharia courts law to the Legal Committee, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.

The MPs also passed the 2023 Cybercrime Law to the Legal Committee, after an extensive debate in its first reading as well as a draft amendment to the 2022 Companies Law as returned by the Senate.

Also during the session MP Mohammad Akour of the Irbid third constituency took the oath before the House, replacing representative Yassar Khasawneh who passed away recently.
