AMMAN — A number of Jordanian media
professionals from government agencies on Tuesday visited the House of
Representatives of the Netherlands and attended part of its deliberations,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The visit was part of a two-stage training course
sponsored by Shiraka, a Netherlands-MENA partnership, focusing on public
communication skills.
The trainees were briefed by a Dutch lawmaker on the
cycle of policy and decision making in this European nation.
The first phase of the program included theoretical and
hands-on training on government communication and change management, technology
and youth engagement, media relations and training, and passive communication
during crises.
The Shiraka Training Program is part of the Shiraka
Program, developed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support a
sustainable democratic transition in the MENA region.
