Jordanian researchers granted L’Oréal-UNESCO award in Paris

AMMAN — Jordanian Researchers Lina Dahiba and Nouf Mahmoud were awarded the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards, in France; attending the ceremony was Jordanian Ambassador to France Makram Al-Qaisi, Al-Mamlaka TV reported Saturday.اضافة اعلان

According to the Jordanian Embassy in Paris, UNESCO General-Director Audrey Azoulay honored the two Jordanian researchers with the award that is given to women leading in the scientific fields and to women researchers who contributed to scientific progress, at a ceremony at the UNESCO headquarters.

The Jordanian embassy in Paris held a lunch in honor of the researchers, commending this achievement that enhances Jordan’s international standing in the scientific and research fields.

The L’Oréal-UNESCO Award program represents a tight collaboration between the organization and L’Oréal Global Foundation; it spans 24 years and supports more than 3,100 researchers in 117 countries.
