AMMAN — A Jordanian soldier in the UN Peacekeeping Mission In Mali Wednesday was killed. Two others were injured in an ambush during a security patrol, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The Jordanian Armed Forces mourned the death of Sergent Ali Jawabreh and expressed its sympathies and condolences to his family, and wished for a speedy recovery for the injured.
Jordan's presence in Mali is part of the UN Peacekeeping Mission to uphold security and peace and provide humanitarian aid to the most afflicted nations across the world.
