AMMAN — The official spokesperson of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Sinan Al-Majali, said, in a statement on
the Public Security Radio station, that the Jordanians present in the flood-stricken
areas in eastern Libya are safe.

Majali explained that the Operations Center at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs received reports of communication disruptions with several
members of the Jordanian community in the areas that were recently affected by
the hurricane and floods, Jo24 News reported.
Reassuring news
He said that the Ministry immediately used the available
means to check on the names and citizens who had been provided to the Ministry.
The Ministry was able, late yesterday evening, to reassure their families in
Jordan that all of them are safe.
Majali also confirmed that the
Jordanian community in Morocco, which experienced earthquakes, is also safe.
