AMMAN — Jordanians are in for an unusually long vacation that could extend for nine consecutive
days at the end of this month, according to Khaberni.
Friday and Saturday, April 29
and 30, are official weekend days, while Sunday, May 1, is a public holiday marking
Labor Day.
It is expected that Monday, May 2, will mark
the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, which means that the Eid holiday will be extended
for three consecutive days until Wednesday, May 4.
If the government decides to close official
institutions on Thursday, May 5, the holiday will be extended until Saturday,
May 7, with a total of nine days off.
