He also emphasized the support for the steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinian people in all occupied cities in Palestine.
In a statement today, Thursday, marking the signing of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Kanaan stated that Gaza Hashim, just like Jerusalem, has received continuous Jordanian support.
The skies and lands of Gaza bear witness to the convoys of humanitarian aid being sent under royal directives, confirming that Gaza, Jerusalem, and all of Palestine are top priorities for Jordan and its Hashemite leadership.
Kanaan pointed out that, under King Abdullah’s leadership, Jordan has worked tirelessly since the beginning of the Israeli aggression to support the Palestinian people in Gaza, to reinforce peace and security in the region, and to urge the world to end the occupation, which threatens both the region and the world with an unpredictable conflict.
He also highlighted Jordan's diplomatic efforts in various international forums to rally global public opinion demanding the end of the genocide against the Palestinian people and to pressure Israel to comply with international legitimacy, including the resolutions passed by the United Nations General Assembly, which recently called for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Kanaan noted the devastating impact of the Israeli genocide, which has resulted in crimes and destructive consequences for both people and land in Gaza, calling for intensive international efforts to revive life and rebuild the region.
