AMMAN — The
Greater Karak Municipality decided to name one of the city’s streets after Hamza Wael
Al-Dahdouh, the journalist killed by an Israeli strike, and eldest son of
Al-Jazeera’s Chief Bureau Wael Al-Dahdouh. Hamza was killed alongside his
colleague Mustafa Thuraya.

The mayor of the Greater Karak
Municipality explained that the decision stems from the brutal
aggression against the people of Gaza by the Israeli occupation and its allies. He added
that this aggression destroyed their homes, schools, and livelihoods, Jo24
reported.
He added in a statement, the
street's name serves as a symbol of the strong bond and solidarity between the
Jordanian and Palestinian peoples. It also stands as a tribute to their
resilience in the face of aggression, a source of pride and dignity for all
Arabs. They defended Gaza with courage, facing the enemy's aircraft and
internationally prohibited weapons with undeterred spirits.
