KARAK — Jordanian authorities inaugurated the
“Panorama of Karak Castle Sound and Light”
tourism project with the aim of
promoting tourism to the city, locally and internationally, according to the Jordan
News Agency, Petra.

Senator Jamal Al-Sarayrah, who opened the ceremony, said on
Saturday that “this is one of the vital tourism projects that promotes and
revives the tourism and culture in the region”.
Sarayrah said that this youth initiatives comes as an
embodiment of the directives of His Majesty
King Abdullah, and is bound to
provide job opportunities, thus reducing unemployment and poverty levels.
Hussein Al-Tarawneh, a member of the Karak Emaar Foundation,
said that the Panorama project is one of the early achievements of the
foundation, and that it contributes to promoting the historical city, with all
its tourist, archaeological, cultural, and heritage components.
Project supervisor Moaz Al-Asasfeh said that the Panorama
tourism project was carried out through the efforts of young people from the
city, and one of the project’s objectives is to have Karak on the map of
tourist sites in Jordan.
