AMMAN – Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh has decided
to ban smoking of any tobacco products, including heated tobacco and electronic
smoking devices, and vaporizers in public places, according to Nabd.

Khasawneh directed a memo to ministries, institutions, and
governmental departments to ban smoking to maintain public health.
Khasawneh requested the identification of a specific area
within public spaces to allow smoking provided that the public's health and
safety are considered.
Additionally, he banned smoking in nurseries, kindergartens,
and schools in both the public and private sectors, forbidding the designation
of any specific smoking areas within them.
Khasawneh also directed the ban on printing, displaying, or
publishing any advertisements for tobacco products, or the distribution of any
brochures, tools, or materials introducing or advertising these products by any
person or entity through any media channels.
