King, During Meeting with Barzani, Stresses Need to Intensify Efforts Toward Comprehensive Calm in the Region
His Majesty King Abdullah II received President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, at Al Husseiniya Palace on Sunday.

The meeting covered the fraternal relations between Jordan and Iraq, as well as ways to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom and the Kurdistan Region across various fields.اضافة اعلان

His Majesty emphasized the need to intensify regional and international efforts to achieve comprehensive de-escalation in the region, contributing to the strengthening of security and stability.

The discussions, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, head of the honorary mission accompanying the guest, also addressed the latest regional developments, particularly in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, and Lebanon.

For his part, President Barzani expressed his deep appreciation for Jordan’s supportive stance towards Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, highlighting the historical and brotherly ties between them.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Director of His Majesty’s Office Alaa Batayneh, Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Omar Barzanji, and the accompanying delegation.
