AMMAN — His Majesty
King Abdullah on Friday attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst’s 200th
Sovereign’s Parade, held under the patronage of King Charles III of the UK, according to the Royal Court statement.

The parade, attended by HRH Crown
Prince Hussein, marked the graduation of commissioned
officers.
The ceremony included presenting the Royal Military
Academy, Sandhurst with its new Colors and Sovereign’s Banner, as well slow
time and quick time marches.
After the parade concluded, King Charles delivered
remarks, noting the important role of Sandhurst in training a new generation of
officers who will go on to serve their countries with dedication.
The ceremony marked the commissioning of 171 officer
cadets as army officers, and included the distribution of awards to
distinguished cadets.
King Abdullah, who graduated from Sandhurst in 1981,
presented the academy’s Al Hussein Medal to the non-British cadet who showed
the most significant improvement in performance during training.
On the sidelines of the parade, His Majesty held a
meeting with King Charles III of the UK and Grand Duke Henri of
Luxembourg, attended by Crown Prince Hussein.
Jordan’s Ambassador to the UK Manar Dabbas and a
number of senior officers and officials from several countries who are
prominent graduates of the academy also attended the 200th Sovereign’s Parade.
