ALGIERS — Algeria President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Saturday hosted a state dinner at the People’s Palace in Algiers in honor of His Majesty King Abdullah, as part of his state visit to Algeria, according to a Royal Court statement.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply and Minister of Labour Yousef Shamali, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Algeria Shaker Amoush, as well as senior Algerian officials attended the banquet.
King Abdullah bestowed the Order of the Bejewelled Grand Cordon of Al Nahda (Order of the Renaissance) on President Tebboune, in recognition of his efforts to bolster the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and peoples, and marking His Majesty’s state visit to Algeria.
The Bejewelled Order of Al Nahda is granted to kings, princes, and heads of state.
President Tebboune presented the National Order of Merit “Athir”, one of the highest medals in Algeria, to His Majesty, in appreciation of King Abdullah, and in recognition of the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
