AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah checked on measures taken by the government to reopen the education sector and resume in-person learning, according to a statement by the Royal Court.اضافة اعلان

At a meeting on Sunday at Al-Husseiniya Palace, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein, King Abdullah was briefed on the remedial revision program for students to make up for the closure of schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

His Majesty stressed the importance of raising students' awareness of the remedial period, which started on Sunday, and ensuring their attendance.

The King said back-to-school measures should ensure that students receive a full learning experience while maintaining their safety, noting the need to urge all to adhere to safety measures and to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh and several senior officials briefed His Majesty on the government's measures in preparation for the new scholastic year, as well as progress made in implementing the National Strategy for Human Resources Development.
