King checks on public agencies’ readiness to deal with weather conditions

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday visited the main operations room at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), to check on readiness and preparations to deal with the expected weather conditions, according to a Royal Court statement.اضافة اعلان

During the visit, attended by NCSCM Chairperson HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, King Abdullah called for maintaining high levels of coordination and cooperation among various agencies and institutions to serve the public, urging a speedy response to emergencies in line with the professionalism of these institutions.

The King commended the efforts of those working in the various operations rooms and in the field.

His Majesty listened to a briefing, via telepresence, by Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh and the governors of Amman, Tafileh, and Ajloun, in the presence of other governors, on the measures taken to deal with the impact of the expected polar front, including reopening all roads in case of closures.

The briefing covered the readiness of hospitals, preparedness to transport patients in cases of emergency, and the availability of field teams to respond to power outages.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti, and Public Security Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh accompanied the King on the visit to the NCSCM.
