AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday departed on a working visit to Madrid and Geneva, according to a Royal Court statement.
In Madrid, His Majesty is scheduled to meet with King Felipe VI of Spain and President of the Government Pedro Sánchez to mobilise international support for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip.

In Geneva, the King is scheduled on Wednesday to deliver a speech at the Global Refugee Forum, co-convened by Jordan, Colombia, France, Japan and Uganda, and co-hosted by Switzerland and the UNHCR.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
