RIYADH — His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday headed the Jordanian delegation attending the Riyadh Arab-China Summit for Cooperation and Development hosted by Saudi Arabia, according to a Royal Court statement.اضافة اعلان
King Abdullah's participation in the summit comes at the invitation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
The summit, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the prime minister of Saudi Arabia, deputizing for King Salman bin Abdulaziz, was attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping, Arab leaders, and heads of delegations.
The summit covered means of bolstering relations between the participating countries across various sectors and explored mechanisms for developing economic and development cooperation.
The summit also touched on the importance of Arab-Chinese cooperation for ensuring further progress on the economic, trade, and cultural sectors, while enabling countries to overcome crises and achieve development and prosperity.
The Jordanian delegation included Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, Jordan’s Permanent Representative at the Arab League Amjad Adaileh, and Jordan’s Ambassador in Riyadh Ali Kayed.
