AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, in a phone call received on Sunday from King Felipe VI of Spain, warned against attempts to displace the Palestinians and force their internal displacement, pointing to the catastrophic impact of such attempts on the entire region, according to a Royal Court statement.

King Abdullah called for rallying the international community to stop the war on Gaza and step up efforts to ensure the provision of medical and relief aid.
The call covered the importance of international efforts in pushing for the protection of civilians on both sides and respecting international humanitarian law.
His Majesty reaffirmed the importance of creating a political horizon to guarantee the prospects for just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution, and prevent the eruption of further cycles of violence and war in the region.
