AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on
Sunday met with Iraq Prime Minister
Mustafa Al Kadhimi at the Government Palace
in Baghdad, prior to holding the trilateral Jordanian-Egyptian-Iraqi
summit, a Royal Court statement said.

Discussions at the meeting covered the
deep-rooted Jordanian-Iraqi ties, with King Abdullah reiterating Jordan’s
support for Iraq and its people in maintaining stability and seeking further
prosperity.
The meeting also addressed means to
develop cooperation between the two countries, especially in energy, transport,
and trade, in addition to a number of regional issues, according to the
statement.
Regional and international efforts to
counter terrorism within a holistic approach were also discussed, the statement
added.
Earlier,
His Majesty was accorded an
official welcoming ceremony at the Government Palace.
