NEW YORK — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday met with Polish President Andrzej Duda, in New York, according to a Royal Court statement.
Held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings and attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the meeting covered means of enhancing economic and defense cooperation, in addition to the latest regional and international developments.

King Abdullah highlighted the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in energy, transportation, water, and food security, especially in light of the repercussions of the crisis in Ukraine.
His Majesty called for supporting efforts to reach just and comprehensive peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis, on the basis of the two-state solution, lauding Poland’s position in this regard.
The two sides stressed the need to maintain efforts to counter terrorism within a holistic approach.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan attended the meeting.
