ALGIERS — His Majesty King Abdullah, in Algiers on Saturday, held separate meetings with senior Algerian officials, as part of his state visit to Algeria, according to a Royal Court statement.

King Abdullah met President of the Council of the Nation Salah Goudjil, Speaker of the People's National Assembly Ibrahim Boughali, Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane, and Chief of Army Staff Gen. Said Chanegriha.
At the meetings, His Majesty highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and peoples, expressing keenness to enhance relations across all fields.
Discussions covered means of bolstering cooperation between Jordan and Algeria in service of mutual interests.
Regional and international developments were also discussed, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, in addition to regional crises.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Algeria Shaker Amoush attended the meetings.
