AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah is scheduled to meet with
US President Joseph Biden at the White House on Friday, a Royal Court statement
said.

The meeting will
cover the strategic partnership between Jordan and the US, and ways to bolster
it across all sectors, as well as the latest regional and international
developments.
The
White House meeting is slated to follow a
number of meetings for His Majesty with senior administration officials and
Congress leadership; as well as members of the Senate Foreign Relations,
Appropriations, and Armed Services committees; and members of the Armed
Services and Foreign Affairs committees, and the State, Foreign Operations, and
Related Programs Subcommittee at the House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, on
Tuesday the White House issued a statement that said that “The President is
pleased to welcome His Majesty
King Abdullah II of Jordan and his
Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein to the White House on May 13, 2022. King
Abdullah’s visit to Washington, his second of the Biden Administration, will reinforce
the close friendship and enduring partnership between the United States and
Jordan. Jordan is a critical force for stability in the Middle East and
strategic partner and ally of the United States.”
